What to write in a bridesmaid card

What to write in a bridesmaid card? [letter examples]?

If you’re one of the lucky ladies tapped to be a bridesmaid, then you know that comes with a lot of responsibility – and probably a lot of questions, too. One question that might keep popping up is what to write in a bridesmaid card? After all, this is your chance to express your excitement (and relief) about the big day, give some words of wisdom, and let the bride know how much you appreciate her asking you to be part of her wedding. So what are some things you can say in your bridesmaid card? Check out our tips below!

So, what to write in bridesmaid card?

Thank Them For Helping You Out With This Big Day

If you’re a little overwhelmed with all the wedding planning, a great way to start your bridesmaid card is by thanking them for helping you out with this big day. Let them know how much it means to have their support and just how grateful you are that they’ll be part of your wedding memories.

Remind Them That They Are An Important Part Of Your Life And You're Grateful To Have Their Support

This is a great opening for a bridesmaid card because it reminds the bride that you care about her, and that she’s an important part of your life. Letting her know that you are grateful to have their support on this day will let them know how much they mean to you!

Make Sure The Card Is Personalized, So It's Clear Who The Message Is From

Personalized cards are always nice to receive, so make sure that you use their name in your card. This way, it’s clear who the message is from. If you want to be extra creative with your bridesmaid card, try drawing a little picture of yourself (or doodling!) and write out what they mean to you next to the picture!

Remind Them Of Your Experience As A Bridesmaid/Bridesman

When you were asked to serve as a bridesmaid, you might not have known the responsibilities that came along with it (especially if this is your very first time!). You can take advantage of this opportunity by reminding them that you’ve been a bridesmaid before, and that you’re more than happy to help with whatever they need. This way, they know that you have the experience of being a bridesman/bridesmaid before!

Include Some Kind Words About How Much They Mean To You Or What They've Done For You In The Past

As you ’re writing out what you want to say in your bridesmaid card, don’t forget to include some kind words about how much they mean to you or what they’ve done for you in the past. This is a great way to express how grateful you are for their generosity and love!

Be Specific - Don't Just Say "Thanks" If There Was Something Specific That Made A Difference On Your Wedding Day

You can thank them for all of their hard work with the openning line, but don’t forget to include some specifics about what they did that you appreciated. This will make them feel more valued and loved, which is always a good thing!

For example, if they helped you with gift bags for your guests at the reception, mention how much it meant to have them help out in this special way! Or,  if they helped you with the decorations, let them know how beautiful everything turned out because of their help.

Remember to always keep your bridesmaid card positive and filled with gratitude – no matter what! Your positive outlook will rub off on others, so don’t forget to show some appreciation in your card.

If Applicable, Include A Photo Of Yourself And/Or Your Fiancé(E) Inside The Card

If applicable, you can include a photo of yourself and/or your fiancé(e) inside the card. Let them see how wonderful your life is now that you’re getting married by including a fun picture in your bridesmaid card!

What To Write In A Card Asking Someone To Be Your Bridesmaid?

When it comes to  asking someone to be your bridesmaid, the focus should always be on why you would like them to be part of your wedding. You can try something along the lines of: “We’ve been so close, and I know that our friendship will last forever. Will you stand by my side as my bridesmaid?”

Or if you’re already friends with someone you’d like to be your bridesmaid, use the following opening line: “You’ve always been there for me, and I can’t imagine getting married without you by my side.”

This will let them know how grateful you are to have them as part of this special day. It’ll also show them what they mean to you!

Final words:
